From the Executive Director's Desk...

Dear Friend of Ozanam Place:

As we conclude a year in which the fundamental mission and goals of our programs have been challenged as never before, your support of Ozanam Place is that much more important.  With the current economic climate, it is clear that we will have to work even harder and raise more money to keep our essential programs available. We do not take fees for our services, nor are we a federally or State funded organization.  We exist on private grants and by the generosity of people like you.  Our mission is to empower single- parent families with the skills needed to become responsible, self-sufficient individuals and parents. 

Ozanam Place fills a critical gap in services by providing housing assistance and other supportive services such as parenting skills, life skills and job training programs for single-parent families.  We also assist in finding affordable and quality childcare and healthcare for our 20 clients and their 41 children enrolled in our two year Transitional Supportive Services Program and our five year After-Care Program. Our Peer Support Program has serviced 286 families and individuals this year alone.  This program provides referrals and resources to any person in need.   

In order to create sustainability for our programs and to recognize our supporters, we created The Friends of Ozanam Place Membership.  Our objective is to raise $100,000 through this program in the next five years to better serve our current clients and to make our long-term programs available to many more in Belknap County.  I ask for your help and consideration by making a five-year tax deductible commitment when you join The Friends of Ozanam Place.  Described on the following page are the different levels of membership.  However, any gift, either one-time or over a period of years, large or small will help Ozanam Place be a voice for homeless families in our community.

Homelessness can occur when a job is lost, after a divorce or death of a spouse, when adjustable rate mortgages or rents are raised to unaffordable levels.  These are some reasons elderly, adults and children are often forced to live in unacceptable conditions.  Through the Friends of Ozanam Place, we are determined to be a part of the solution in this ever growing problem.  Your partnership with Ozanam Place will enable us to make a difference in many lives. 

When you enroll in The Friends of Ozanam Place, you will become a member in an honored circle of supporters who are working toward ending homelessness for adults and children in Belknap County.

Director’s Circle Membership $2,500.  This membership includes:  2 tickets to Ozanam Place’s Annual Holiday Gala, 2 Tickets to Ozanam Place’s Valentine’s Event -Wine, Chocolate & Roses, a listing in our Bi-Annual Newsletter and Annual Dinner with the Executive Director & Board of Directors. 

 Corporate Circle Membership $1,000.  This membership includes:  10% discount on a table of 8 at our Annual Holiday Gala, Annual Dinner with the Executive Director & Board of Directors, listing in our Bi-Annual Newsletter, in each Newsletter we will select highlight two businesses to highlight complete with interviews, pictures and description of business which is sent to more than 1,500 members of our community.

   Circle of Change Membership $1,000.  This membership includes:  1 ticket to our Annual Holiday Gala, 1 Ticket to our Valentine’s Event -Wine, Chocolate & Roses, a listing in our Bi-Annual Newsletter and an invitation to our Annual dinner with the Executive Director & Board of Directors. 

 Circle of Hope Membership $500.  This membership includes:  10% discount off of any Ozanam Place fundraising event or items sold as a fundraising tool and an invitation to our Annual Dinner with the Executive Director & Board of Directors.
